My name is Kairo and I am an anatomy professor in the San Francisco bay area. I began preparing specimens while doing my graduate work on anatomy and morphology.

Anatomy is like archaeology. We cannot truly appreciate the intricacy and grandeur of the very structures that give us life until they are laid bare before us.

The animals used in these anatomical displays are reclaimed from naturally deceased specimens provided by sanctuaries, breeders and rescues.

In death, they have been most generous in granting us a rare glimpse into life's secret world. And for that they deserve our utmost respect.
